A lifelong Mississippi resident, Ron graduated from Mississippi State University in 1979 with a BS degree in Business. Later in his career, he received his MBA degree from Mississippi College. His construction career began in 1982 as a salesman of architectural building products with Hubbard-Lawson Building Specialties, Jackson, Mississippi. He later became President of the company and assumed business ownership. Throughout his career Ron served in various volunteer positions in Mississippi Associated Builders and Contractors and was elected Chairman of the organization in 2002. Ron joined Harrell Contracting Group in 2006 as Business Development Manager, and in addition to his business development role, serves as Director of Preconstruction Services for worship facility projects. He is a member of Mississippi Associated Builders & Contractors, US Green Building Council and National Association of Church Design Builders; attaining his Certified Church Consultant designation in 2008.

Ron enjoys golf and spending time with his wife Cindy and their two children. He and his family are members of First Baptist Church, Jackson, Mississippi.
